Review of Hugo’s Frog Bar in Chicago

Hugo’s Frog Bar is hands down one of the best restaurants in Chicago. The restaurant is located at 1024 North Rush Street, right next door to Gibsons.

When you walk into Hugo’s, you feel like you’re walking into a “hopping” atmosphere. The bar is always packed, and in the corner of the bar is a musician, who sits and plays up-beat music. Hugo’s carefully crafted ambiance made our dining experience a blast.

The menu changes on a daily basis, each day featuring new seafood and shellfish. In the mood for a steak? Hugo’s shares a kitchen with Gibsons, so patrons can order the same prime steaks featured at the most famous and historical steakhouse in Chicago.

I highly encourage you to order side dishes. One side dish will comfortably feed four people. The sides are humongous, and more importantly tasty additions to your dinner. You can never go wrong with the twice baked potato.

Dessert is the best part of every meal. Similar to side dishes, the desserts are monstrous.  Go with the Chocolate Mousse Cake. I promise, you won’t regret it.
