Several months ago, Chicago Bears quarterback Mitch Trubisky closed on his 6-bedroom, 5,600 square-foot mansion in Gurnee for a whopping $950,000. Trubisky purchased the home through a land trust.
Trubisky is from the state of Ohio and is a top player in the NFL. In the 2017 draft, Trubisky was the second pick.
Trubisky’s new Gurnee home is situated in an area of Gurnee called the Merit Club. The home both traditional-style brick architecture with 6 bedrooms, 6.5 baths, 2 fireplaces, an exercise room, an outdoor dining area, a fire pit, and a hot tub.
Trubisky was represented by Jameson Sotheby’s International Realty’s Erica Goldman. In a statement to the press, Goldman said, “My client, after an extensive search, chose his first Chicago-area home based on a number of factors. The deciding factor was the proximity to the Bears’ training center as so much of his time is spent there.”
Coincidently, former Bears wide receiver Muhsin Muhammad was a previous owner of the home. Muhammad purchased the home in 2005 for $1,425,000. After the financial crisis, Muhammad sold the home for a significant loss in 2011.
